Syrus Marcus Ware
A celebrated Toronto-based visual artist, activist and educator, Syrus Marcus Ware works across painting, installation and performance to explore social justice and Black activist culture. As a founding member of Black Lives Matter Canada and a defining figure of Toronto’s queer scene, his work has been featured at the Toronto Biennial.
